Lunar Cycles, Feminine Energy, + Coming Back to Yourself (with Christine Marcario)
If you’ve been feeling disconnected from your body, like you’re trying to force clarity, healing, or momentum, this conversation is for you.
So many women have been taught to live in constant output. Constant pressure. Constant performance. Constant “prove it.” Over time, that pace doesn’t just exhaust you. It disconnects you from your natural rhythm, your intuition, and the deeper wisdom your body has been holding all along.
In this episode of Healing Her Feminine, I’m joined by Christine Marcario, Reiki Master, spiritual intuitive, life coach, and host of the Aligned and Abundant podcast. We’re talking lunar cycles, feminine energetics, burnout, and what it can look like to come home to yourself gently, grounded, and without shame.
Why so many women feel “off” (and why you’re not broken)
One of the most healing reframes in this episode is simple.
You may not be broken at all. You might just be out of rhythm.
When you’ve been living from the neck up, making decisions from urgency, logic, and pressure, it makes sense that your body starts to feel like a stranger. You can be doing “all the right things” and still feel restless, anxious, or numb.
Christine describes it like this. When we ignore the whispers of our soul, we start living the same day on repeat. You wake up, run the routine, push through, collapse, and eventually you look up and wonder.
Where did my life go? Why do I feel so disconnected? Why am I bored, restless, or quietly unhappy?
That disconnect isn’t a personal failure. It’s information.
Action before clarity: the feminine way to move forward
A big theme in this conversation is the idea that clarity doesn’t always come before you move.
Christine says it plainly. Clarity comes after action.
So many high-functioning women try to “figure it out” first. Mentally mapping every outcome. Waiting until they feel 100% certain. Trying to logic their way into a decision.
But the feminine path often works differently.
Sometimes the next step becomes clear only after you take the first aligned action. You move, you listen, you adjust. You trust that you’ll be led.
This is especially important if you’re healing from burnout, people pleasing, or perfectionism, because those patterns keep you stuck in your head.
What are the moon phases, and how do they support feminine energy?
If you’ve ever felt more emotional around the full moon, or more introspective during a new moon, you’re not imagining it.
Christine breaks down the moon phases as an energetic cycle you can work with, especially as a woman.
New Moon: the void (rest, receive, reset)
The new moon is the inner feminine. Quiet, reflective, inward.
You may feel more tired, less social, and more called to rest. Instead of judging that as “lazy” or “unproductive,” this phase invites you to honor it.
This is a beautiful time for stillness and nervous system downshifting. It’s also a supportive time to journal your desires without forcing answers, reset your energy, and trust what’s forming beneath the surface.
Think womb space. Darkness. Recalibration.
Waxing Moon: gentle expansion (aligned action and momentum)
As the moon begins to wax, your energy starts to rise.
This is the phase of soft discipline, where you might feel more creative, curious, and motivated to take small steps.
This is a supportive time to explore new ideas, take gentle aligned action, follow what lights you up, and build momentum without forcing intensity.
It’s like roots growing before anything breaks the surface.
Full Moon: illumination (truth, emotion, release)
The full moon is when energy peaks.
Christine describes it as the moment when what’s been hidden comes to light. Patterns. Emotions. Truths. Triggers. The moon is brightest here, so it makes sense that your inner world can feel louder.
This phase can bring emotional intensity, clarity, and realizations, and a strong desire to release what isn’t aligned. It can also bring “course correction” moments, where you finally see what you’ve been tolerating, overriding, or outgrowing.
Christine also reminds us that the moon influences the ocean tides. Because our bodies are made of water, it’s not a stretch to understand why it influences us emotionally.
Waning Moon: the wise feminine (integration and healing)
After release comes integration.
The waning moon is the processing phase, where energy pulls inward again, and you begin to heal, reflect, and tie up loose ends.
This is a powerful time to slow down, let your emotions move through, release guilt and shame, and reflect on what you’re learning.
Christine names guilt as a low vibration, and one that many women carry without realizing it.
A simple full moon ritual to release what you’re ready to let go of
Christine shares a ritual that’s both practical and symbolic.
Write down what you want to release on a bay leaf, then safely burn it.
She adds an intuitive layer. If the leaf burns quickly, you may be truly ready to let it go. If it burns slowly or keeps blowing away, there may still be resistance.
The point isn’t perfection. It’s awareness.
Burnout signs: how your body tells you the truth
If you’re in a season of burnout, your body is usually speaking long before your mind catches up.
Christine shares a few signs that your life may be out of alignment.
You wake up and immediately want the day to be over.
You feel anxiety driving to work or into certain environments.
You feel depression, heaviness, or dread that doesn’t match your “successful” life.
Your nervous system doesn’t lie.
And the first step isn’t fixing everything overnight. It’s recognition.
Small practices to reconnect with yourself (without adding more to your plate)
This episode isn’t about piling on more “self-care.” It’s about coming back to what’s simple and regulating.
Christine recommends starting small.
A five-minute guided meditation, even sitting in your car before you walk into your day.
Frequency music in the background, especially when you feel anxious or overstimulated.
Epsom salt baths to soothe and release.
Grounding, like feet on the earth and sunlight on your skin, even for ten minutes.
Movement to shift stuck energy, like stretching, breathwork, or EFT tapping.
One of my favorite reminders she shares is this. Don’t bring your phone on every walk. Let yourself be with you.
Intuition vs fear: how to tell the difference
A question that comes up often in healing work is.
How do I know if it’s my intuition or my fear?
Christine’s guidance is powerful.
The first message is often the clearest.
Fear spirals into “what if” loops.
Intuition feels simple, direct, and grounded.
Instead of only imagining worst-case scenarios, she encourages practicing positive what-ifs, too.
What if it works out? What if this is the turning point? What if you’re being supported?
Boundaries, self-abandonment, and the “emotional regulator” pattern
We also talk about something many women carry without realizing.
Saying yes when you mean no.
Sometimes it looks like being “easygoing.” Sometimes it looks like keeping the peace. Sometimes it looks like regulating everyone else’s emotions so they don’t feel disappointed.
But over time, those micro self-abandonment moments compound.
Christine shares a truth that can feel confronting and freeing. It’s not your job to carry someone else’s emotions.
When you constantly protect others from discomfort, you may be enabling patterns. And you’re also denying yourself honesty, rest, and sovereignty.
Abundance isn’t just money. It's presence.
Christine closes with one of my favorite reminders.
Abundance does not equal money.
Abundance can be a slow morning. A real conversation. Being present with your kids. Enjoying your coffee. Feeling sunlight on your face.
The more you practice presence and gratitude, the more you raise your frequency, and the more you naturally attract aligned opportunities.
She also suggests expanding your receiving list beyond cash.
You can be open to receiving scholarships, free experiences, support, gifts, and unexpected opportunities.
The universe has infinite ways to provide.
